Continuing education is important for attorneys, realtors, and other professionals with certifications or licenses because it helps them stay current with changes in laws, regulations, and best practices in their field. By taking continuing education classes, they can improve their knowledge and skills, which can lead to better service for clients and greater success in their careers. Also, in order to keep a license or certification, many professional organizations and governing bodies require continuing education. 

Notaries, guess what? We do not have the same demands; however, it's my belief that we should. Once you take the first class, pass it, and get your certificate, you can do your job for 5 years straight before it's time to renew. As an educator, it's my job to teach, so I'm making an online platform where North Carolina notaries can take training classes to learn more about how to notarize all kinds of documents, how to talk to the public, and how to improve their customer service skills. The classes will also help you change your mind about what you can do as a business owner when you look at what you can do as a notary public. 

I am doing this because I know personally the importance of "always be learning." To sharpen my saw by improving and moving in a direction where I am excelling at the things I enjoy doing and knowing that I am helping others along the way. Most importantly, I'm coming up with solutions to problems that are budget conscious, sensible, reasonable, and good for other people. Our membership will be through "Be About You Academy," a learning platform for notaries and other small businesses.
